A site-responsive outdoor performance unfolding along the jetty at Prien Lake Park. Drawing from the same visual language and embodied research as Breathing Under Water, the work uses semaphore-inspired choreography to explore signals of grief, repair, uncertainty, and possibility in relation to both environmental unrest and contemporary social tension.
Previously performed on the frozen surface of Silver Lake in St. Anthony, Minnesota, this new Gulf Coast iteration reimagines the work within the shifting landscape of South Louisiana waterways.
Supported by grants from Visit Lake Charles and the Louisiana Division of the Arts, administered by the Arts & Humanities Council of Southwest Louisiana.
