January 8 – February 13, 2027

Gallery Hours:
Thursdays-Saturdays, 12-6pm

Opening Reception:
Friday, January 8, 6-9pm

Resistance & Flow is an exhibition of protests signs created in 2026 and donated by members of the public, and will be organized in the space by month. This organization of the signs will mirror the number of peaceful protesters and the issues that brought them out to protest. For example, signs on display in January 2026 will be centered on ICE and recent murders. The signs representing the month of August 2026 will be centered on Flock surveillance, and gas prices from a never ending war. The ebb and flow of numbers of signs and issues on those signs will create a feeling of a river comprised of the genuine hopes and fears of the people that live here.

Ephemera such as buttons, ‘zines, newspaper articles and any other supporting material will be metaphorical visual ponds and lakes surrounding the main exhibit.

Soundscapes that consist of the ambient sounds of the protests, the music that is played, and brief statements from those involved will play during the exhibition.
