Dinner Dance, vT
(2013)
As part of Chicago Artists Month, Trailer Park Proyets—a mobile u-haul exhibition space—presented DINNER DANCE at the Edgewater Library parking lot.
“vT” or “version Trailer Park Proyets” was the continuation of a series of experimental dinner parties during which all parties attending operated as artist, performer, guest, and host. A participatory atmosphere was encouraged, or rather insisted upon, to make it through an extended, multi-course meal that was “choreographed” with actions, labors and engagements. The “dance” was a conversation that happened across tables, through movement, and on the household “stage”—from a kitchen to the front door.
