Take Action

Water Bar and Action Card Distribution

(2023)

In a collaboration between A House Unbuilt and ArtReach St. Croix, artists and watershed advocates will host a pop-up Water Bar event at Lift Bridge Brewery on June 13 from 6-8pm. At the water bar, we will distribute three distinct sources of municipal drinking water from the region and engage in conversations about the benefits of clean and healthy water sources. In addition to the water being served, a special set of 10 “Action Cards” will be distributed, featuring the “10 Actions You Can Take Now” that are promoted by 1Mississippi. These cards will be designed by A House Unbuilt and feature the artwork of artists of the watershed. Each card will also include prompts for taking the action based on suggestions from watershed collaborators and an MRN QR code for further advocacy action. Throughout the week of River Days of Action, the Action Cards will also be distributed guerilla style on the trail system in downtown Stillwater.
